Cam gets in a fight with her mom right before they leave for a Christmas vacation and opts to just stay home while all the rest of the family go. She found she got pretty bored quick since there wasn't much to do anymore, and all her friends were on their own vacations. The only one left was her old Ex, yet very good friend, Joker. Each day Joker helped Cam work through her days until the others came back, buuuuut...A father-and-son burgler team have been waiting for the Bermudezes to leave so they could break in. After their first attempt to break in, Cam became alert and told Joker. Joker wrote up a few plans for convoluted traps and gizmos which Cam quickly built. 2 nights later the idiot burglers tried again, but with worse results than just not getting inside...they got in this time. And in doing so they were burned, frozen, electricuted, beaten, bitten, battered, and bruised.
The son broke in through a window, but stepped in on a preasure pad that sling-shot him into the road to get sweeped up by a street sweeper.
The father busted down the back door but the rigged motion activated tazer zapped him into a snow mound.
The son and father stomped in angry as hornets and Cam, following Joker's instructions, dumped a little cooking oil on their heads from the floor above. That made them even madder when they finished slipping on the puddle. Cam and the webcam connected Joker laughed as Cam dropped a match on the puddle. The burglers ran out a jumped into the snow to douce themselves.
Cam watched them as they charged back again for the stairs. Then she dumped some marbles on the stairs making the goons slip on the stairs. Cam ran to her room and consulted the next plan. 'Call the police' Joker said, 'and have some more fun while you're waiting' he cackled. The son started looking for silver and cash, but stumbled on another trap. Jabbed in the nose by a spring loaded punching glove and slipping on the marbles, falling on his father and his father pushed the son off saying to forget the blasted money and get the girl. They broke down her bedroom door to find her gone and Joker cackling on a laptop screen. Joker pointed up where a croquet mallet konked the son in the head. The father whipped open Cam's closet only to get hit below the belt with another mallet weilded by Cam. Cam ran outside followed by the crooks where the police were waiting to apprehend the criminals. They were arrested and Cam safe. Her family returned early after seeing the ordeal on the news and were so sorry for the fight. Cam of course was too but agreed with Joker that beating up two dumb burglers was the funnest Christmas ever. Cam spent the rest of Christmas happily with her mom, dad, and brothers.
